Acne Haunting Women's Success

NOT just for teenagers who are puberty, acne is now also a skin problem that affects women in their 20s, especially those who are successful, according to research.

About half of women known to have skin problems in adult life stages, say the scientists, even those who never had skin problems when adolescents.

One theory says women today have more severe stress than previous generations so that the release of stress hormones that trigger male production of more oil in the pores.

Dermatologist at the Nantes University Hospital found acne in adulthood is different from adolescent version. Adolescent acne-prone skin in the T-zone of the chin, nose, to forehead. As for women in their mid twenties were more likely to experience acne spot deeper under the skin.

Women are three times more likely to suffer acne than men. This may be because women's skin is more sensitive to male hormones
