Types of acne and characteristics

Acne can be stressful and very disturbing appearance.

The healing process is very slow and persistent acne.

When one begins to heal acne, pimples others began to emerge.

It appears that hormones play a role in the appearance of acne. Teenagers are the age that often bothered by the appearance of acne.

However, acne can actually appear in all age groups. Some adult women often experience acne because

their hormonal changes, such as pregnancy, associated with the menstrual cycle, or when a new use or stopping birth control pills.

Acne can cause emotional distress and lead to scarring of the skin depending on how severe acne. However, it's been a lot of effective treatments for acne that can reduce the physical and emotional damage.

Acne usually appears on the face, neck, chest, back and shoulders, which is the skin area with the largest number of functional oil glands.

Some forms of acne that often arises is as follows:

1. blackheads 

Blackheads occur when the openings of hair follicles clogged and covered by the secretion of oil, dead skin cells, and sometimes bacteria. 

If the open blackheads on the skin surface is called blackheads because of the appearance of dark hair follicles. But if the closed blackheads, whiteheads are called, because the bumps on the skin is white. 

2. papules 

Papules are small bumps that indicate the presence of inflammation or infection of the hair follicle. Red papules and soft.

3. pustules 


Pustules are red, tender bumps with white pus at the tip.

4. nodules
 

Nodules are large, dense, and a painful lump beneath the skin surface. Nodules formed by the buildup of secretions in the hair follicle.

5. Cyst 


Cyst are very painful, pus-filled bumps are marked below the skin surface. These infections can cause scarring.
